Researchers in the field of Biological Sciences who work on the richness and variety of the different marine species (microorganisms, plants and animals) of the Blue Amazon and their dynamic relationship within this ecosystem. This team also works on consolidating a robust and complete inventory of the biodiversity of the Blue Amazon, analyses the state of fish stocks based on past and recent studies for an effective strategic management assessment and carries out research to characterise and assess various sources of pollution (plastics, contaminants, etc.) in order to recognise marine organisms and critical sectors of contamination in Brazilian maritime waters.
